Download our consultants' final reports by clicking on the titles below.
A hard copy of each report is also available at each library.
We encourage you to give them a close reading.

After conducting a series of Focus Groups (the details of which are all available on this website) our library consultant, Library Development Solutions, created two documents which detail their recommendations:

1.)  A FEASIBILITY STUDY - Shared Services: Let Libraries Lead the Way which provides background and an overview of the project, a community needs assessment, a detailed analysis of the focus group process and results, and how the needs and desired services that were expressed at those meetings translate into building and program size requirements The report also examines the cost and process involved in creating and operating a joint library.  (.pdf  0.6MB)

2.)  A BUILDING PLAN which offers a detailed analysis of space requirements and specific staff and material needs.  (.doc  0.9MB)

Based on the findings of the library consultant, our architects, RMJM/Hillier, have provided the following recommendations:

3.)  A SITE CONCEPT FEASIBILITY STUDY which translates program requirements into size and space needs, examines a variety of locations and building options and costs - including an important assessment of the short and long-term costs involved in remaining in the two current facilities. This is a large file that may take a moment to download.  (.pdf  27.5MB)

4.)  A CONCEPT DESIGN that provides details, drawings and floor plans for the preferred option.  (.pdf  1.6MB)
